Amerisure Awards Six Students With 2016 Scholarships

The students, along with their respective university, who were awarded scholarship funding include:

  • Rasha Baig (Northeastern University, Boston, Mass.)
  • Marissa Hansen (Oakland University, Rochester)
  • Rebecca Henning (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor)
  • Katherine Mishanec (Michigan State University, East Lansing)
  • Mathew Perez (University of Texas at Austin, Austin, Texas)
  • Nicholas Susemiehl (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor)

 

“We are pleased to congratulate all the recipients of our scholarship program who plan to continue their education in college or a vocational school,” said Angela McBride, Chief Administrative Officer with Amerisure. “Each of these individuals have demonstrated a clear commitment to their educational goals. We’re proud to support tomorrow’s leaders, while also helping our employees with associated college expenses.”

Each year, the ASP awards up to six scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each, which is renewable for up to three years of undergraduate study. The scholarships provide assistance to Amerisure parents for the costs associated with post-secondary undergraduate education, including tuition, fees, books, supplies and/or equipment.

Established in 1992, the program has assisted 150 students and granted $416,000 in scholarships.
